US Supreme Court Extends Title VII Protections Against Sex Discrimination to Members of the LGBTQ Community

Under New York State Law, members of the LGBTQ community have long been protected against discrimination in the workplace in the basis of sex. Finally, on June 15, 2020 the United States Supreme Court extended the prohibitions against discrimination in the workplace to members of the LGBTQ community under Title VII of the federal law.
